This space is where I leave thoughts and motivational ideas to help guide the daily upkeep of maintaining a positive outlook. Below are some ideas i'd like to share, and hopefully some perspective that you can adopt as your own to make the strides easier and the load lighter. Check out the stories below.

It is said that every journey begins with the first step. In reality every journey begins long before that in your mind. It happens when you dream about taking that journey for the first time. It's also where you experience it first. Your hopes and fears begin there and can often be the place where your journey ends before it begins if you let it. Beginning in the mind is a good thing if you have prepared your mind to be a positive and strong partner on your journey. Recognize your strengths so you can use them, and recognize your weaknesses so you can overcome them. Your first journey should always be one of self discovery. Learning about yourself can be a raw and horrifying experience as you begin to realize that who you really are may not stack up to the ideal self you imagine yourself to be, and that's OK. We all know in theory that no one is perfect, the first step on your journey of self discovery should be accepting that this statement includes you. That doesn't mean you're bad or can't be better, it simply means that you need to be able to accept your flaws before you can change them. You can't change what you don't track, and if you can't accept that you have flaws, then you can't do the work to change them. This should be a hopeful perspective because it is an empowering thing to accept yourself, flaws and all, knowing that you are on a journey to be a better you.
